Description
Juniper berry infusion in apple cider vinegar contains essential oils (alpha pinene, limonene and myrcene), which have antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Alpha pinene and myrcene also have a stimulating effect on uterine contractions, so pregnant women should not use any juniper berry preparations or the berries themselves, so as not to create a risk of spontaneous abortion. On the other hand, children have sensitive stomachs and digestive tracts, and juniper berries (the substances they contain) can be too strong and irritating for them. Juniper berries have a blood-thinning effect, so their preparations should not be used after surgery or by people with severe blood clotting disorders.
Juniper berries contain vitamin C and other antioxidants that reduce oxidative stress.
Improves digestion: can help reduce heartburn, gas formation and improve digestive processes.
Diuretic effect: useful for people with high blood pressure and edema or those who consume too much salt in their diet; toxins and bacteria are eliminated from the bladder more effectively, thus reducing urinary tract inflammation and uric acid accumulation, for example in the case of gout, improves prostate health.
Strong antibacterial and antifungal effect. They reduce the populations of bacteria such as e.coli, s. aureus, pneumonia and gonorrhea-causing bacteria, as well as antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Can also be used externally on various skin fungal infections (dilute with water 1:1).
Prophylactically use 1-2 teaspoons per day in a glass of water or pour 1-2 teaspoons of the infusion over meat dishes after serving and enjoy the strong taste of juniper berries.
